Feelin' 22

I don’t know about you but I’m feelin’ 22! That’s right, yesterday was my birthday and I am officially another year older. Not only am I a year older, but I am a year closer to becoming an actual ADULT *shudders*. Because I am a type-A, list making organizer I think it’s only fair to make a list of what I hope to accomplish out of being 22. 




1. Finding a job
Okay, I am an intern for a small agency now but I graduate in about 6 months and need to start settling down and I don’t mean romantically (because romantically, I already am). So, while I think I can fit at least one more internship under my belt, I am hoping to find a “forever home” at a communications agency that allows me to grow. What do you think? Am I starting too soon?

2.  Saving up for my own place
While I am very comfortable in my little humble abode in my parents' house, after living in Orlando by myself for 3 months I realized how much I loved the taste of freedom. Mom, Dad if you’re reading this I love you but it’s time for me to spread my wings.

3. Learn how to spend wisely
Right now, I spend like I have all the money in the world, but come the 19th of the month I regret all of my bad shopaholic decisions. If I want to make “living on my own” happen, one of the first things I need to learn how to do is control my spending habits.  Put down the shoes and invest in some groceries!

4. Travel somewhere new….literally anywhere but New York….
Ugh, I love New York in the fall. The leaves change colors, the cold is bearable and Bryant Park has its truffle hot chocolate ready to be enjoyed by ice skaters and tourists. As much as I love New York, I want to see the leaves change colors somewhere else. On my list of places I’ve been dying to go to, here’s where I hope to travel to before next November: Chicago, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, DC., or Minnesota.

5. Form healthy habits
On my about me page you’ll see that one of my fun facts is “Coca-Cola addict” and well, that doesn’t exactly scream the word healthy. I have told myself that I will start my fitness journey every other week and yet I am still at home, working on the 10,000 tasks I have pending for group projects. I tried the whole diet thing and that’s not for me; a girl has gotta eat. To add on 2  more things to my healthy habits list: create a routine (morning & night) and drink WAY more water.
