The Gab | Vol. 2

It’s the first official week of November and I am excited! It’s fall y’all and welcome to volume 2 of the Gab. I know, it’s been a while since I’ve posted and honestly, I wasn’t expecting to lack as much as I did in my writing… yet, I did. Thank you for being patient with my procrastinating self and let’s get this Gab started.

The Lows A Laugh

Thankfully, I haven’t had a lot of lows this month. The only thing I can complain about is being tired, but hey, who isn’t nowadays? Instead of giving you a “low” this month, how about a laugh?

Last week, I decided to go shopping at Marshalls for some nice work pants and a few pairs of jeans. After strolling up and down the isles for 30 minutes, I walk into the dressing room with 3 pairs of jeans and about 4 pairs of black, professional pants. I stack my pants on the hanger behind the dressing room door and begin the process of trying on 7 pairs of pants. Now here’s the thing about my sizing - I have wide hips and a small waist and let's not forget the fact that I’m pretty short, so finding the right pair is very critical for me. So, I’m on my fourth pair of black pants and they are petite, fit comfortably on the waist, and a little snug on the thighs. Now for a squat test. Halfway through my squat what do I hear? POP! That’s right ladies + gents, I have ripped my pants. This wasn’t your typical thigh or knee rip, this was a huge rip in the booty area; 100% exposed.

The only thing that made this better? My boyfriend's reaction as I rushed out of the dressing room explaining why we were speed walking.

The Highs

The most significant high of the past month is being initiated into *drum roll* ALPHA CHI OMEGA. That’s right, your gabbing gal has joined a sorority on her senior year of college and I have #NoRagrets. No worries, I’ll go into depth on my journey soon (wink wink).

What else? Well, after repeatedly telling myself that I need to update my portfolio and resume, I have finally finished updating BOTH and even increased my adobe illustrator skills during this process.

To kick off this beautiful month of November, I checked off one thing off my Universal Orlando bucket list. I managed to drive up to Orlando’s Universal Studios with my boyfriend and back home all in one day. Was I tired? Yes. Am I going to do it again? Probably not. Was it worth it? Oh yes. Not only did I get some cute as heck pictures, but it finally felt like fall with 59 degrees in the air. Though we couldn’t ride any of our favorite water rides because of the cold, we managed to ride some rides we have never been on and made the most of the day. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who lives in Florida with annual passes! Currently Gabbing about…

photography - during the past few weeks I’ve used my camera a whole bunch and have captured some spectacular moments of friends, food, and family. Can’t wait to keep capturing more of these moments.
• shopping - my wallet has taken quite a pounding during this month but once again, I have no regrets! I couldn’t find the shirt I recently bought, but I purchased this cute romper from Target!
• food! - ugh, I cannot resist my urge to eat and it’s so bad but it feels so good. Now that Knausberry Farm is open I know I won’t be able to contain myself.
